We’re waiting for the school bus. Joey has decided he is Blue, and is hopping around barking like Blue, alternated with, “I’m a blue POOH bear!”

IEP day. We did pretty well. What a difference from our preschool battles! Instead of a three-hour marathon, we were in and out in an hour and a quarter. Fun fun fun!

Ah, the chorus of “Where’s Daddy?” begins a new day. Despite the reluctance of the school OT to send the questionnaire home, we have gotten Joey’s new sensory profile done. Woo-hoo!

Last night, we attended an open house my daughters’ school. I was proud of both of my girls and the work they had on display. I have to say, it was especially sweet to see my youngest in her room, with her pals, all of them together-truly the joy of autism in motion!

Put him on the bus, and off he goes. This is his fourth year in school. Shouldn’t this be getting easier by now? I miss my Joey.

Our Triennial went OK. He’s still autistic, and the school agrees. Fortunately, the school OT skipped town this week, so I didn’t have to deal with her- and the meeting was smooth as glass.

A moment of quiet. Both boys are at school. I have the day off from the office since my mom went to Baltimore for a research trip. I am about to set to a couple of small cleaning projects, easier to do without boys about. Deep breath… then plunge.
