J’s big triennial IEP is this afternoon - in just a few hours. I’m nervous about it, but the school is highly supportive and they frankly love my boy.

I got to talk with the teacher this morning. Basically, the report card is a joke. they grade based on the performance of non-disabled peers. I already know Joey is disabled. This tells me nothing at all. The school OT says if he does too well, they’ll pull him out of self-contained. They’ll make decisions based on this piece of paper over my dead body. Meanwhile, our afternoon begins. Joey is due home in about an hour, so I need to set up for him. Friday is his afternoon off. Normally, I might take him to the gym or the park, but I’ve apparently caught yet another virus, and this one will keep me close to home. Need to set up home activities. Make sure the yard is clear, maybe get out the fingerpaints.
