Spent the afternoon at the Bug Box. Joey likes the turtles there. Andy likes the tarantulas. We’ve been having trouble getting Joey to focus, so it was nice to see him watch the turtles for a full five minutes.

We’re waiting for the school bus. Joey has decided he is Blue, and is hopping around barking like Blue, alternated with, “I’m a blue POOH bear!”

Andy’s been clingy today. I think he’s sick. Joey is running around pretending to play “Blue’s Clues” and drawing his “clues” in his new little notebook we got at Walmart as a treat, and proclaiming “I’m a blue POOH bear!” I have no idea why he is a blue pooh bear, where the phrase came from, or why it is apparently hilariously funny, except for the fun sound of it.

Took the guys to the Rainforest Cafe. Joey loved it. He’s now running around the house saying, “vollllll- CAAAAAAAAAA-NOOOOOOOOO!!!!” Andy spent most of the lunch hiding from the “thunderstorm” under the table.

VBS went great. Only a few little hiccup-meltdowns, which hey, is better than par for this course. Now we just have to all get over stomach flu…

Busy, busy, busy here. Keeping Joey busy is the best way to stave off change-of-schedule meltdown. Counting off the days to ESY.

IEP day. We did pretty well. What a difference from our preschool battles! Instead of a three-hour marathon, we were in and out in an hour and a quarter. Fun fun fun!

We have become fans of the Magic School Bus. Joey’s science “grades” have skyrocketed. Now we need a visual link-up for social studies….
